Winter storm warning again
Winter Storm Warning Statement as of 6:34 am EST on February 19, 2015
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 am EST Friday.
* hazard types... heavy snow.
* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches.
* Timing... snow may be heavy at times through morning... closer
to the coast. Heavier snowfall will taper off early today...
but light snow may linger into the evening especially for
areas near the midcoast.
* Impacts... snow covered roads and low visibilities will lead to
dangerous travel conditions.
* Winds... north 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
* Visibilities... one quarter mile or less at times.
* Temperatures... 5 to 26 above.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight...
food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
