Winter Storm Warning Statement as of 3:32 am EST on February 1, 2015
Winter Storm Warning in effect from 7 am Monday to 3 am EST
Tuesday.
The National Weather Service in gray has issued a Winter Storm
Warning for heavy snow which is in effect from 7 am Monday to 3
am EST Tuesday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect.
* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 6 to 10 inches.
* Hazard types... heavy snow.
* Timing... snow should begin early Monday morning... continuing
through the day... then tapering off Monday night.
* Impacts... snow covered roads could lead to hazardous travel
conditions.
* Winds... north 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.
* Temperatures... 9 below to 8 above zero.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel keep an extra flashlight food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
