Special Weather Statement National Weather Service Gray ME 12:01 PM EDT Thu Jul 27 2023 SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON. An approaching cold front interacting with a warm and humid airmass will result in showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. Storms are expected to reach the Connecticut Valley of New Hampshire after 1pm...spreading into western Maine after 3pm with activity coming to an end by 8pm. Thunderstorms that develop will have the potential to be severe with damaging winds and very heavy rains being the greatest threat. There will also be the potential for an isolated tornado.
