Statement as of 6:34 PM EST on February 20, 2014
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 11 am EST
Friday...
* hazard types... snow... sleet... and freezing rain.
* Accumulations... snow accumulation of up to 1 inch... along with
around a trace of ice.
* Timing... light snow should begin this evening... perhaps
starting as a brief period of light rain. During the night...
the snow should transition to a mixture of sleet and freezing
rain... then eventually to plain rain during Friday morning.
* Impacts... slippery roads and other surfaces... especially those
that are untreated.
* Winds... east 5 mph or less.
* Temperatures... in the lower 30s.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
