... Winter Storm Watch in effect from Thursday morning through

Friday morning...

The National Weather Service in gray has issued a Winter Storm

Watch... which is in effect from Thursday morning through Friday

morning.

* Hazard types... heavy snow... and possibly some mixed

precipitation.

* Accumulations... greater than 6 inches of snow possible.

* Timing... snow should begin from south to north during the late

morning hours Thursday... possibly during the afternoon in the

White Mountains and western Maine mountains. At this time it

looks like the heaviest snow would be Thursday night... then end

sometime early Friday morning.

* Impacts... significant travel delays possible with snow covered

roads. Some blowing and drifting possible.

 

* Winds... north 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* Temperatures... 20s to around 30.

 

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant

snow... sleet... or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
