Winter Storm Warning
Statement as of 3:17 am EST on February 5, 2014
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 7 am this morning
to 9 PM EST this evening.
* hazard types... heavy snow
* accumulations... snow accumulation of 6 to 10 inches.
* Timing... the heaviest snow will fall during the midday before
becoming lighter in the afternoon and ending this evening.
* Impacts... difficult travel conditions due to snow covered
roads and reduced visibilities. Heavy snowfall rates of 1 inch per
hour or more may make it more difficult for Road crews to keep
up with the heavy snow.
* Winds... northeast 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.
* Temperatures... around 20.
* Visibilities... one quarter mile or less at times.
