Winter Storm Warning

Statement as of 3:46 PM EST on February 15, 2014

Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 10 am EST

Sunday.

* hazard types... heavy snow.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 6 to 10 inches... with

amounts up to 15 inches along the mid coast.

* Timing... through early Sunday.

* Impacts... snow with blowing and drifting snow will make travel

difficult.

* Winds... north 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* Visibilities... one quarter mile or less at times.

* Temperatures... mostly in the 20s.

 

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather

conditions are expected. Significant amounts of snow are forecast

that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an emergency. If

you must travel... drive with extreme caution and allow plenty of

time to reach your destination.
