Roads will be icy in many areas through early this morning.

The slushy snow and rain on Friday left water on many roads, especially in poor drainage areas where snow banks clogged sewer drains. A cold front moved through Friday evening allowing colder

air to push temperatures below freezing during the night time hours. This caused puddles and wet spots to freeze overnight leaving many icy spots on roads... parking lots and sidewalks. The

black ice will make for dangerous travel due to variable conditions ranging from dry areas to icy patches. The ice should begin to melt once temperatures warm above freezing under mostly sunny skies during the morning hours.
