Statement as of 6:39 am EST on February 4, 2014
Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 7 am to 9 PM EST
Wednesday.
* hazard types... heavy snow.
* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches.
* Timing... beginning Wednesday morning and falling through the
day... before tapering off in the evening.
* Impacts... difficult travel conditions and reduced visibilities
due to snow and snow covered roads.
* Winds... north 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.
* Temperatures... in the mid 20s.
* Visibilities... one quarter mile or less at times.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight... food...
and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
