Winter Storm Watch in effect from Tuesday morning through

Tuesday evening.

The National Weather Service in gray has issued a Winter Storm

Watch... which is in effect from Tuesday morning through Tuesday

evening.

* Hazard types... heavy snow.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 4 to 8 inches possible in a

relatively short period of time Tuesday afternoon and evening.

* Timing... snow will likely overspread southern New Hampshire and

coastal Maine by Tuesday afternoon... possibly becoming heavy at

times. The snow will then taper off from south to north Tuesday

evening... and likely end around midnight.

* Impacts... slippery snow-packed roads and reduced visibilities.

* Winds... northeast 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* Temperatures... mid 20s to lower 30s.

* Visibilities... one quarter mile or less at times.

 

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant

snow... sleet... or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
