Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 4 am Tuesday to 2 PM EDT Wednesday.

* what... heavy snow expected. Travel will be very difficult to impossible, including during the evening commute on Tuesday. Total snow accumulations of 12 to 18 inches are expected.

Locally higher amounts are possible.

* Where... northern New Hampshire, western Maine mountains and foothills, and mid-coast Maine.

* When... from 4 am Tuesday through 2 PM EDT Wednesday.

* Additional details... be prepared for significant reductions in visibility at times. Some blowing and drifting of snow is expected in mid-coast Maine. Plan ahead and use caution if you

must travel.
