At 541 PM EDT, an area of heavy snow was located along a line extending from Bangor to near Oakland to 12 miles southwest of Canton to 6 miles north of Effingham to near Salem. The heavy snow is nearly

stationary.

Snowfall rates of 1 to 3 inches an hour are possible under this

band. With winds in excess of 30 mph, near blizzard conditions are possible at times. Use caution if traveling through this area.
