Winder weather advisory now in effect
Winter Weather Advisory statement as of 3:20 PM EST on December 16, 2016
Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 4 am Saturday to 7 am EST Sunday.
* accumulations... snow accumulation of 3 to 6 inches... along with around a trace of ice.
* Hazard types... snow... sleet and freezing rain.
* Timing... snow will develop around or just before daybreak tonight and continue into Saturday. The snow will mix with and change to sleet and freezing rain late Saturday and Saturday
night before changing to rain early Sunday morning.
* Impacts... snow... sleet and freezing rain will create difficult travel.
* Winds... south 5 to 10 mph.
* Temperatures... around 10 late tonight gradually rising to the low to mid 30s by early Sunday morning.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
