Storm watch Cancelled, Storm Warning now in Effect

Winter Storm Warning statement as of 11:12 am EST on December 11, 2016

Winter Storm Warning in effect from midnight tonight to 7 PM EST Monday.

The National Weather Service in gray has issued a Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow which is in effect from midnight tonight to 7 PM EST Monday.

The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect.

* Hazard types:  snow, possibly heavy at times late tonight and Monday morning.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 6 to 10 inches.

* Timing... snow will begin tonight and continue through Monday.

* Impacts... snow and low visibilities will make for hazardous travel conditions... especially during the morning commute.

* Winds... northeast 5 to 10 mph.

* Temperatures... in the mid 20s to lower 30s.

* Visibilities... one quarter mile or less at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather

conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow

are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an

emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight...

food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
