Wind Chill ADvisory now in Effect
Wind Chill Advisory statement as of 3:22 am EST on December 15, 2016
Wind Chill Advisory in effect from 9 PM this evening to 9 am EST Friday.
The National Weather Service in gray has issued a Wind Chill Advisory... which is in effect from 9 PM this evening to 9 am EST Friday. The wind chill watch is no longer in effect.
* Hazard types... dangerous wind chills.
* Wind chill... as low as 26 below.
* Timing... late this evening through Friday morning.
* Winds... northwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
* Temperatures... 5 below to 9 above zero.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in
frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
If you must venture outdoors... make sure you wear a hat and
gloves.
