WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON.
WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY EVENING.
* WHAT...For the Wind Chill Advisory, very cold wind chills. Wind chills as low as 25 below zero. For the Winter Storm Watch,
heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of around 6 inches possible.
* WHERE...In New Hampshire, Strafford County. In Maine, Interior
York, Central Interior Cumberland, Androscoggin and Kennebec
Counties.
* WHEN...For the Wind Chill Advisory, until 1 PM EST this afternoon. For the Winter Storm Watch, from late Sunday night through Monday evening.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. The
cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as
little as 30 minutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will likely fall heavily early Monday
morning. However there is still question as to how quickly it
mixes with or changes to rain. This will determine how much snow
one gets. At this time there is a 50 percent chance that 6 or
more inches fall.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
