Statement as of 4:07 am EST on February 7, 2017

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 8 am EST Wednesday.

* hazard types... snow... sleet... and freezing rain.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 3 to 6 inches... along with around a tenth of an inch of ice.

* Timing... accumulating snow begins this morning with snow intensifying through the afternoon. A transition to sleet and freezing rain is expected tonight into Wednesday morning as

precipitation comes to an end.

* Impacts... snow and ice covered roads will lead to hazardous travel conditions.

* Winds... northeast 10 to 15 mph.

* Temperatures... in the teens and 20s.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or

freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for

slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while

driving.
