Winter Storm Warning in effect from 8 am to 10 PM EST Thursday.
The National Weather Service in gray has issued a Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow... which is in effect from 8 am to 10 PM EST Thursday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect.
* Hazard types... heavy snow.
* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 4 to 7 inches.
* Timing... snow on Thursday will be mainly during the daylight hours.
* Impacts... snow covered roads will lead to hazardous travel
conditions.
* Winds... north 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
* Temperatures... 8 to 22 above.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather
conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow
are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an
emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight...
food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
