How about cutting things back with a dessert more conducive to portion control.  Force yourself to have only one.

(Bet you can’t eat just one!)

Black Forest Parfait

one can cherry pie filling

1/4 cup black cherry preserves

1/4 cup sugar

1 tblsp lemon juice

3 oz 1/3-less-fat cream cheese

3.4 cup chocolate wafer crumbs

Combine pie filling and preserves, mixing until thoroughly blended.

Combine sugar, juice, and cheese in large mixing bowl, and beat at medium

speed until smooth.

Cover and chill.

Spoon 2 tsp. crumbs into each of 4 glasses; top each with 1 1/2 tblsp cream

cheese mixture and 3 tblsp cherry mixture.

Repeat layers once, ending with cherry mixture.  Serve immediately.

IF you’re exercising real willpower,  share one Parfait with someone you love. Having said that if you try to use the excuse of:  “My half was on the bottom of the Parfait glass, so I had to eat your half to get to mine.” As a rationale to eat the whole thing, it WILL cause a fight.
