#MEwx Cool, windy and clouds with Slow Cooker Turkey Breast with Wild Rice

This morning we have mostly sunny skies with Highs in the mid 50s. Winds are Northwest 15 to 20 mph gusting to 35 mph.

Tonight we’ll have partly cloudy conditions with Lows in the lower 40s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph gusting to 35 mph.

SLOW COOKER TURKEY BREAST WITH WILD RICE STUFFING

8 servings (plus about 2 cups turkey and wild rice for another recipe)

 

4 cups cooked wild rice

¾ finely chopped onion

½ cup dried cranberries

1/3 slivered almonds

2 medium peeled or unpeeled cooking apples, coarsely chopped (2 cups)

4 to 5 lb boneless whole turkey, thawed if frozen

 

Mix all ingredients except turkey.  Place turkey in 3 ½ to 6 quart slow cooker.  Place wild rice mixture around edge of cooker.  Cover and cook on low heat setting 8 to 9 hours or until turkey is no long pink in center.
