The National Weather Service in Gray Maine has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for Poor Drainage Areas for...

Southwestern Kennebec County in south central Maine... North central York County in southwestern Maine... Southern Oxford County in western Maine...

Androscoggin County in southwestern Maine... West central Lincoln County in south central Maine...

Cumberland County in southwestern Maine... Sagadahoc County in south central Maine...

* Until 1245 PM EST.

* At 942 AM EST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain which will cause urban and small stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding in

the advisory area. Up to two inches of rain has already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...

Portland, Lewiston, Brunswick, Bath, Gardiner, Bridgton, Fryeburg,

Mechanic Falls, Bethel, Topsham, Rumford, Naples, Turner,

Wiscasset, Gorham, Buxton, Gray, Hollis, Litchfield and Livermore

Falls.

Additional rainfall of two inches is expected over the area. This

additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Sebago Lake, Pleasant Mountain, Long Lake, Popham Beach State Park,

and Albany Mountain.

Bailey Island, Orrs Island, and Jewell Island.

of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
