Flood Watch in effect from late tonight through Saturday evening.
The National Weather Service in gray has issued a
* Flood Watch for portions of Maine and New Hampshire, including the following areas, in Maine, Androscoggin, coastal Cumberland, coastal Waldo, coastal York, interior Cumberland,
interior Waldo, interior York, Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, and
Sagadahoc. In New Hampshire, Belknap, coastal Rockingham, eastern Hillsborough, interior Rockingham, Merrimack, Strafford, and western and central Hillsborough.
* From late tonight through Saturday evening
* a long duration rainfall event may cause area rivers to rise sharply.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
