Flood Watch remains in effect from 1 am EST Saturday through Saturday evening.

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of Maine and New Hampshire, including the following

areas, in Maine, Androscoggin, coastal Cumberland, coastal Waldo, coastal York, interior Cumberland, interior Waldo,

interior York, Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, and Sagadahoc. In New

Hampshire, Belknap, coastal Rockingham, eastern Hillsborough,

interior Rockingham, Merrimack, Strafford, and western and

central Hillsborough.

* From 1 am EST Saturday through Saturday evening

* a period of heavy rain will lead to rises on area rivers. Minor

flooding is possible on Saturday.

* Ponding of water may occur in urban and poor drainage areas

Saturday morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on

current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible

flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be

prepared to take action should flooding develop.
