#MEwx updated Special Statement for Strong Thunderstorms

A cluster of strong thunderstorms will affect Kennebec, central Oxford, northeastern Androscoggin, south Central Somerset and
southeastern Franklin counties.
At 1141 am EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from near Norridgewock to Jay to near Andover.
Movement was southeast at 25 mph.
Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail are possible with these
storms.
Locations impacted include Lewiston, Augusta, Waterville, Fairfield, Bethel, Oakland, Rumford,
Turner, Skowhegan, Jay, China, Clinton, Belgrade, Livermore Falls, Farmingdale, Manchester, Dixfield, Hallowell, Canton and Andover.
This includes Interstate 95 between mile markers 109 and 136.
This also includes...
Screw Auger Falls, Mount Zircon, Crocker Hill, and Streaked
Mountain.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
