Cooler, sun and making an Orange Frost
This morning we have sun and less humid. High 78°F. Winds NW at 5 to 10 mph.
Tonight we’ll have mostly clear with a low of 57°F. Winds light and variable.
The readings from my weather instruments are:
The Dew Point is 46.6°F, the humidity is 60%, and the outdoor temp is 60.4°F.
The wind direction is Northwest between 1.1 MPH and 2.7 MPH.
The Relative pressure is 30.09, the Absolute pressure is 29.89 and rising with a weather graphic indicating sun.
The UV rating is 1 out of 16, Sunrise is 5:02 a.m. Sunset is 8:25 p.m., Moonrise is 1:01 a.m., Moonset is 2:15 p.m. and the moon phase is in its last quarter being 38% illuminated.
Visibility is 10.0 miles / 16.1 kilometers with nclear skies.
We received 0.35 inches of rain here over the past 24 hours.
Space weather for today is:
The Solar flux is 68, the solar wind speed is 487 Kilometers per second and the chance of
a solar storm is 1%.
IF you look at the long-range weather forecast, there’s more of that miserable heat and humidity coming here. Make some of these to keep cool when it hits.
ORANGE FROST
3 servings
¾ cup milk
¾ cup water
1 can (6 oz) frozen orange juice concentrate
8 ice cubes
¼ cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Place all ingredients in order listed in blender. Cover and blend on high speed about 30 seconds or until mixture is smooth and foamy. Serve immediately.
Variation: A wide variety of frozen juice concentrates could be used for this recipe. Look for a new family favorite! Try a tropical blend such as pineapple-orange-banana or orange-peach-mango.
