Winter Weather Advisory statement as of 3:06 am EST on January 22, 2018

Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 4 PM this afternoon to 6 PM EST Tuesday.

* what... wintry precipitation expected. This will result in

difficult travel conditions, including during the morning and

evening commutes on Tuesday. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5

inches and ice accumulations of up to one quarter of an inch

are expected.

* Where... northern New Hampshire and interior western Maine.

* When... from 4 PM this afternoon to 6 PM EST Tuesday.

* Additional details... light snow is expected today and tonight

before a period of freezing rain occurs on Tuesday. The

temperature will eventually warm above freezing during the day

on Tuesday for some areas, allowing the rest of the

precipitation to fall as rain.
