Winter Weather Advisory statement as of 3:33 am EST on January 13, 2018

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 3 PM EST this afternoon.

* what... mixed precipitation expected. The ice will result in difficult travel conditions. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches, with localized amounts up to 3 to 6 inches near the Canadian border, and ice accumulations of around one tenth are expected.

* Where... portions of central and northern New Hampshire and south central, southwest, west central and western Maine.

* When... from 1 am to 3 PM EST Saturday.

* Additional details... be prepared for slippery roads and

reduced visibilities at times.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or

freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for

slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while

A real Flood Watch statement as of 3:38 am EST on January 13, 2018

Flood Watch remains in effect until noon EST today.

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of Maine and New Hampshire, including the following

areas, in Maine, Androscoggin, coastal Cumberland, coastal

Waldo, coastal York, interior Cumberland, interior Waldo,

interior York, Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, Sagadahoc, southern

Franklin, southern Oxford, and southern Somerset. In New

Hampshire, Belknap, Cheshire, coastal Rockingham, eastern

Hillsborough, interior Rockingham, Merrimack, northern

Carroll, northern Grafton, southern Carroll, southern Grafton,

Strafford, Sullivan, and western and central Hillsborough.

* Until noon EST today

* a combination of heavy rainfall, snow melt and potential ice

jams may cause flooding on rivers and streams as well as in

urban and poor drainage areas. Rainfall amounts 1.5 to 3

inches are expected. The heaviest rainfall is expected to

occur through tonight.

* Rivers and streams could see locally fast and significant

rises in vicinity of any ice jams. Urban and poor drainage

flooding may occur.

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on

current forecasts.

flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
