Winter Storm Watch statement as of 3:54 am EST on January 3, 2018
Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Thursday morning through Friday morning.
* what... heavy snow and blowing snow possible. Plan on difficult
travel conditions, including during the evening commute on
Thursday. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 9 inches, with
localized amounts up to 12 inches, are possible.
* Where... portions of, central, northern and southern New
Hampshire and, southern and western Maine.
* When... from Thursday morning through Friday morning.
* Additional details... winds gusting as high as 45 mph will
cause areas of blowing and drifting snow. Cold wind chills as
low as 15 below zero will cause frostbite in as little as 30
minutes to exposed skin.
