Sunny and getting warmer

Good Morning Augusta.

This morning it is clear, with a high of 55F. Winds from the NNW at 5 to 10 mph shifting to the WSW in the afternoon.

Tonight it will be clear, then partly cloudy. Low of 34F. Winds from the South at 5 to 10 mph.

The readings outside right now, taken from my own weather instruments:

a relative humidity of 86% with a Dew Point of 37.2ºF.

The temperature is 41.4ºF with no wind chill.

Presently we have North Northwest winds between  3.4 mph and 9.6 mph.

Our Barometric pressure is 30.24 and rising with a weather graphic indicating sun.

We had precipitation in this area overnight of 0.18 inches.

Visibility is down to 8.0 miles with some clouds.

I would remind you that this is an election year, so here are some political truisms that you should keep in mind. After all, we do the voting, so the people who get into office are pretty much OUR fault.

"He knows nothing and thinks he knows everything. That points clearly to a political career."

George Bernard Shaw

"He thinks by infection, catching an opinion like a cold."

John Ruskin

"He stands as a testament to the ultimate futility of a higher education"

Accurate credit to an Author is unknown

"Most gods throw dice, but Fate plays chess, and you don't find out til too late that he's been playing with two queens all along."

Terry Pratchett

And, this from the Devil's Dictionary by A. Bierce:

CRITIC, n.  A person who boasts himself hard to please because nobody

tries to please him. (Rush Linbaugh take note)

ARENA, n.  In politics, an imaginary rat-pit in which the statesman

wrestles with his record. (Newt G)
