sunny and clear

Good Morning Augusta.

This morning it is mostly cloudy then partly cloudy. High of 39F. Winds less than 5 mph.

Tonight it will be partly cloudy with a chance of snow, then mostly cloudy with a chance of snow. Low of 18F. Winds from the West at 5-10 mph shifting to the NNW after midnight. Chance of snow 30% with accumulations up to 1 in. possible.

The readings outside right now, taken from my own weather instruments:

a relative humidity of 84% with a Dew Point of 29.8ºF.

The temperature is 34.2ºF with no wind chill at this time.

We have Southwest winds between  0.9 mph and 2.7 mph.

Our Barometric pressure is 29.53 and rising with a weather graphic indicating sun.

We had precipitation in the past 24 hours in the form of rain/snow/sleet (some of you had freezing rain as well) of 0.59 inches, but that is an estimation as much of the precipitation has not yet been measurable by instrumentation. Add an additional inch and a half to what the instruments read.

Visibility is 10.0 miles and clear, it is a nice morning for a change.

Here are two quotations for the Month of March:

Indoors or out, no one relaxes

In March, that month of wind and taxes,

The wind will presently disappear,

The taxes last us all the year.

--Ogden Nash

A great wind is blowing, and that gives you either imagination or a headache.
