#MEwx Windy, warm, rain, floods and Spanish Salad

  This   morning we have rain and wind with highs in the mid 40s. Winds are blustery from the Southeast 20 to 30 mph gusting to 55 mph, becoming southwest 10 to 15 mph gusting to 30 mph this afternoon.  
  Tonight   we’ll have partly cloudy skies with lows in the upper 20s. Winds will be Southwest 10 to 15 mph gusting to 25 mph.
  The   outdoor temperature is 44.8°F, the dewpoint is 44.5°F and the wind chill is 44.8°F.
  We’ve   received roughly 4 inches of snow and .21 inches of rain here and it’s still blowing and raining out there.
Today’s   sunrise is 7:15 AM, sunset is 4:19 PM and we’ll have 9 hours 4 minutes of daylight today. Moonrise is 6:53 AM and Moonset is 3:01 PM. The moon phase is a NEW MOON and is xx% illuminated. Our next Full Moon is on January 25 and our next new moon will be on   January 11.

  SPANISH   SALAD
5   servings, 2 c. each serving
Salad:
2   cups cubed and toasted french bread, or prepared croutons
6   cups torn lettuce
1   cups torn radicchio
1   cups chopped oranges
14   pitted Kalamata olives, halved
Vinaigrette:
2   tbsp fresh orange juice
2   tbsp red wine vinegar
1   tbsp capers
2   tsp extra virgin olive oil
1   tsp Dijon mustard
½   tsp sugar
¼   tsp black pepper
1   garlic clove, minced
Combine   bread/croutons, lettuce, radicchio, oranges, and olives in large bowl.  Combine vinaigrette ingredients in small bowl and whisk well.  Pour over salad and toss well.
Lettuce   and radicchio may be replaced with packaged greens, mesclun, or your preference.
