Winter Storm Warning in effect from 9 am Tuesday to 8 am EDT Wednesday.

The National Weather Service in gray has issued a Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow... which is in effect from 9 am Tuesday to 8 am EDT Wednesday.

The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect.

* Hazard types... heavy snow.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 14 to 18 inches.

* Timing... snow will begin Tuesday morning. The heaviest snow and most significant impacts are expected Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday night. Snow will taper off Wednesday morning.

* Temperatures... in the lower 20s.

* Winds... north 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* Visibilities... one quarter mile or less at times.

* Impacts... heavy snow Tuesday and Tuesday night combined with gusty winds and blowing snow... will create near-blizzard conditions at times and lead to dangerous travel conditions.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather

conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of

snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in
