Dense Fog Advisory, Wind Advisory statement as of 8:04 am EST on March 1, 2017
Dense fog advisory in effect until 11 am EST this morning.
Wind Advisory remains in effect from midnight tonight to 7 PM EST Thursday.
The National Weather Service in gray has issued a dense fog advisory... which is in effect until 11 am EST this morning.
* Visibilities... one quarter mile or less at times this morning.
* Winds... southwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph after midnight.
* Timing... after midnight Wednesday night through Thursday evening.
* Impacts... gusty winds may make driving difficult. Strong winds may toss loose objects or snap small tree limbs. Sand and debris may be blown from roads and parking lots, affecting
pedestrians.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 35 mph... or wind
gusts up to 57 mph... are expected. Winds this strong can make
driving difficult... especially for high profile vehicles. Use
extra caution.
A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
