Wind Chill Advisory expires 9:00 AM EDT on March 12, 2017

Statement as of 8:30 am EST on March 11, 2017

Wind Chill Advisory in effect until 9 am EDT Sunday.

The National Weather Service in gray has issued a Wind Chill

Advisory which is in effect until 9 am EDT Sunday.

* Hazard types... very cold wind chill values.

* Wind chill... as low as 25 below zero.

* Timing... through Sunday morning.

* Impacts... the combination of cold and wind will cause

 frostbite to occur very quickly on any exposed skin.

* Winds... west 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* Temperatures... zero to 10 above zero.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds

will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in

frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.

If you must venture outdoors... make sure you wear a hat and

gloves.
