Cold with a nasty storm on the way and a great kid-friendly recipe

This morning we have Snow in the forecast. Snow will become heavy at times during the afternoon as the wind picks up. High will reach to only 28 ºF. NE winds will be 10 to 20 mph, increasing to 25 to 35 mph. Chance of snow 100%. Snow accumulating 8 to 12 inches with winds gusting to over 50 mph.

Tonight we'll have periods of snow and wind. Low will be 24 ºF. Winds N at 25 to 35 mph. Chance of snow 100%. Snow accumulating 5 to 8 inches. Winds could occasionally gust over 50 mph.

GRAHAM CRACKERS WITH BROWN SUGAR

6 graham crackers, whole

2 Tblsp. butter or margarine

4 Tblsp. brown sugar

½ cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 400.

Spread graham crackers on baking sheet in one layer.

Cream butter and sugar together; add nuts.  Spread on graham crackers.

Bake until sugar melts and caramelizes, just a few minutes.  Sugar will have spread over the crackers when melted.

These will burn quickly.
