Winter Weather Advisory statement as of 3:48 am EST on February 15, 2016
Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 5 PM this afternoon to
1 PM EST Tuesday.
* hazard types... snow changing to freezing rain or sleet will
cause hazardous travel Monday night.
* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches... along
with around a tenth of an inch of ice.
* Timing... snow will begin in southern Hampshire this evening...
and continue through the night... changing to freezing rain or
sleet after midnight and eventually rain Tuesday morning.
Impacts... snow... freezing rain... and sleet will make make for
slippery travel.
* Winds... southeast 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
* Visibilities... may briefly drop to 1/2 mile or less.
* Temperatures... in the upper 20s and 30s.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
