Winter Weather Advisory Statement as of 3:29 am EST on February 5, 2016

Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 7 PM EST this

evening.

The National Weather Service in gray has issued a Winter Weather

Advisory for snow which is in effect until 7 PM EST this

evening.

* Hazard types... snow.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches.

* Timing... snow will break out early Friday morning along the

 midcoast. Snowfall will increase in intensity by mid morning...

   before tapering off from west to east late in the afternoon.

* Impacts... once snow begins roads are expected to quickly

 become snow covered and slippery. Snow may fall at 1 inch per

 hour Friday morning... leading to low visibilities in addition

 to hazardous Road conditions.

* Winds... north 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* Temperatures... in the lower 30s.

 

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow

will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow

covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while

driving.
