Winter Weather Advisory as of 3:10 PM EST on February 7, 2016

Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 6 am Monday to noon EST

Tuesday.

The National Weather Service in gray has issued a Winter Weather

Advisory for snow which is in effect from 6 am Monday to noon

EST Tuesday.

* Hazard types... snow

* accumulations... snow accumulation of 4 to 7 inches over a 24

hour period.

* Timing... snow will begin Monday morning and continue into

Tuesday morning. Some light snow could linger into Tuesday

afternoon but much of the accumulation will be over by midday

Tuesday.

* Impacts... roads will become snow covered and slippery. Strong

winds will cause blowing and drifting snow and could lead to

low visibility in spots.

* Winds... north 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* Temperatures... in the teens.

* Visibilities... occasionally near one quarter mile in areas of

heavy blowing and drifting snow.

 

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow

will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow

covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while

driving.
