Winter Weather Advisory statement as of 3:16 PM EST on February 24, 2016
Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until midnight EST tonight.
* hazard types some sleet and freezing rain.
* Accumulations... additional sleet accumulation of up to 1 inch along
with around a tenth of an inch of ice.
* Timing... sleet and freezing rain will gradually change to rain
this evening.
* Impacts... locally slippery travel. Some power outages are
possible due to icing mainly between 500 and 2000 ft.
* Winds... east 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
* Temperatures... in the mid 30s.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
