Flood warning in effect

The National Weather Service in Gray Maine has issued a

* Flood Warning for...

 an ice jam in... Kennebec County on the Kennebec river in

Augusta in south central Maine...

* until 430 PM EST Wednesday

* at 1023 am EST... an ice jam formed quickly on the Kennebec river

in Augusta. The river rose quickly to 13.2 feet and has fallen

back to 12.8 feet. The river will continue to fluctuate rapidly

while the jam is in place.
