MIXED PRECIPITATION EXPECTED LATER TONIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY.

Low pressure will move south of the region late tonight and on Friday with precipitation overspreading the region.  Colder air will filter in from the north bringing the potential for a wintry mix

with locations closer to the Canadian border changing to all snow.

Cumberland Highlands-Northern Carroll-

Including the cities of Bethel, Bryant Pond, Hanover, Locke Mills,

Milton, Newry, Rumford, Norway, Fryeburg, Oxford, Greene, Lewiston,

Sabattus, Wales, Minot, Turner, Auburn, Livermore Falls, Augusta,

Sidney, Windsor, Vassalboro, Waterville, China, Palermo, Brooks,

Jackson, Knox, Liberty, Montville, Morrill, Waldo, Winterport,

Unity, Bridgton, Harrison, Naples, North Conway, Albany, Conway,

Chatham, and Crawford Notch

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM TO 7 PM EST FRIDAY.

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations up

  to one inch, sleet accumulations between one tenth and two tenths

  of an inch and ice accumulations up to two tenths of an inch.

* WHERE...Portions of south central, southwest, and western Maine.

  Portions of northern New Hampshire.

* WHEN...From 5 AM to 7 PM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...A period of mixed precipitation is expected as air

  temperatures fall below freezing early Friday.  While significant

  travel impacts are not expected for the morning commute...falling

  temperatures in the afternoon with a period of sleet and freezing

  rain...will likely cause some slick travel for the evening

  commute.  Precipitation may change to snow for a brief period

  before ending.
