SNOW AND MIXED PRECIPITATION CONTINUES THROUGH THE MORNING.
Snow, heavy at times, will continue this morning before tapering
off late morning. Sleet will mix in across far southern NH, also
tapering late this morning. Light snow showers or freezing drizzle
will be possible this afternoon before another period of snow and
mixed precipitation arrives this evening.

WINTER STORM WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations between 4 and 6
inches for a storm total of 5 to 8 inches.
* WHERE...Portions of south central, southwest, and western Maine.
* WHEN...Until 1 PM EST this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...A snowstorm will bring plowable snow to the region with
a period of moderate travel impacts expected. Periods of moderate
snow and low visibility will be the biggest hazards. The potential
exists for snowbands that will bring periods of locally heavy
snowfall, which will lead to rapid snow accumulations and
extremely dangerous travel conditions. The hazardous conditions
could impact the Thursday morning commute.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
