Low pressure will move south of the area today with precipitation
overspreading the region. Colder air will filter in from the north
bringing the potential for a wintry mix with locations closer to the
Canadian border changing to all snow.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 7 PM EST THIS EVENING.
* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations up
to one inch, sleet accumulations up to one tenth of an inch and
ice accumulations around a light glaze.
* WHERE...Portions of south central, southwest, and western Maine.
Portions of northern New Hampshire.
* WHEN...From Noon today to 7 PM EST this evening.
* IMPACTS...A period of mixed precipitation is expected this
afternoon with air temperatures falling to below freezing. Expect
slippery road conditions for the evening commute and avoid travel
if possible. Even light snowfall amounts can accumulate on roads
and cause dangerous driving conditions due to snow covered roads.
