#MEwx Warmer, rain later tonight and chocolate peanut butter crispy bars

Good morning Augusta

The Red Sox lost game #4 yesterday afternoon of the home series against the Tampa Bay Rays 6-1. We are now 34 and 32. 

The Boston Bruins forced game 7 at home in the Stanley cup series against the St Louis Blues last night 5-1. It’s even up 3 games a side. GO BRUINS!

This morning we have mostly sunny skies with highs in the lower 80s. Light and variable winds will become south around 10 mph this afternoon.

Tonight we’ll have partly cloudy skies during evening hours, turning cloudy with showers likely after midnight. Areas of fog after midnight. Lows in the mid 50s. Southeast winds around 10 mph.

This dessert is more of a “grab ‘n go” type of goodie, but if it’s really hot outside, you need to eat it pretty fast. 

CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER KRISPY BARS

1 cup sugar

1 cup white Karo syrup

1 cup peanut butter

6 cups Rice Krispies

Chocolate chips, butterscotch chips

  1.  
  2. Bring sugar and Karo to a boil.  Remove from heat.
  3. Add peanut butter, mix well, then add Rice Krispies.
  4. Grease 9”x13” pan.
  5. Turn mixture into prepared pan, and pat down to make an even layer.
  6. Melt chocolate chips and butterscotch chips (at least 12 oz., more is okay!).
  7. Spread onto Krispie mixture.
  8. When set, cut into squares.
