#MEwx Cold, storm coming and a recipe for Chicken Stew for "storm food"

Good morning Augusta

We’re under a winter storm watch through Sunday. I’ve posted the text of the watch earlier this morning, better scroll down and read it.

This morning we have mostly sunny skies with much colder temps, highs around 15°F. Northwest winds around 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph this morning, becoming light and variable. Wind chill values as low as 14 below this morning.

Tonight we’ll have partly cloudy skies, then cloudy with a chance of snow after midnight. Lows around 5°F. Light and variable winds.

The readings from my weather instruments are:

The Wind Chill is -8.7°F, Dew Point is -18.2°F, the humidity is 32%, and the outdoor temp is 5.4°F.

The wind direction is Northwest between 2.5 MPH and 4.9 MPH.

The Relative pressure is 30.26, the Absolute pressure is 30.06 and rising with a weather graphic indicating sun.

Visibility is 10.0 miles / 16.1 Kilometers with clear skies.

The UV rating is 0 out of 16, Sunrise is 7:10 A.M., Sunset is 4:28 P.M., Moonrise is 1:13 P.M., Moonset is 3:13 A.M. and the moon phase is waxing gibbous.

Augusta’s RAW METAR readings are:

METAR KAUG 171153Z AUTO 30006KT 10SM CLR M15/M21 A3031 RMK AO2 SLP272 T11501211 11111 21156 53024

We have’nt received any new snow here over the past 24 hours.

There’s a storm coming.  Make this for the people who will shoveling the snow for you.

CHICKEN STEW

Yes, chicken, not beef. Diet, remember?

Chicken broth

Mixed stew vegetables

Onion

Salt and pepper to taste

Cook chicken in the broth, add vegetables and cook until chicken is done.   OR: Add pre-cooked chicken into the broth with the vegetables. Cook until all vegetables are cooked.  That’s all to this recipe.
