Arctic front expected to bring snow squalls this evening.

National Weather Service meteorologists are tracking an Arctic cold front that is currently moving through central Pennsylvania and upstate New York and is poised to cross through New England this evening. This front will bring a line of snow showers and squalls... gusty winds... and significantly colder temperatures.

Snow squalls are expected to arrive along the Connecticut valley of New Hampshire after 4pm... reaching western Maine after

6pm... and the midcoast region of Maine after 8pm.

Within snow squalls... brief... local whiteout conditions are possible... with wind gusts over 40 mph. If conditions warrant... snow squall warnings may be issued as this front passes.

Please be prepared for rapidly changing Road conditions this

afternoon and evening and plan extra time to reach your

destination.
