#MEwx Cold, snowing like crazy and long from being over with

If you’re just waking up DO NOT look outside. It’s miserable out there. Read the Storm Warning update in the post proceeding this one and get another cup of coffee.

This morning we have snow, turning to snow and sleet this afternoon. Total snow accumulation of 10 to 14 inches. Highs around 12. North winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Wind chill values as low as 17 below.

Tonight we’ll have clouds with Snow likely late, then a chance of snow showers after midnight. Areas of blowing snow. Additional snow accumulation up to 1 inch. Lows around 6 above. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Wind chill values as low as 9 below.

The Wind Chill is -17.3°F, Dew Point is -10.8°F, the humidity is 57%, and the outdoor temp is 0.9°F.

The wind direction is West Southwest between 6.1 MPH and 10.0 MPH.

Visibility is 0.5 miles / 0.8 Kilometers with clouds above this snowstorm somewhere.

We received roughly 3 inches of snow here over the past 24 hours, and the worst is yet to come. Hunker down folks it’s going to be a cold and snowy day.
