Winter Weather Advisory statement as of 6:45 PM EST on December 22, 2017

Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 PM EST Saturday.

* what... snow occurring. Total accumulations of 3 to 5 inches.

Snow may end as a period of freezing drizzle. Mixed

precipitation expected Saturday. Total ice accumulations of two

tenths to three tenths of an inch are expected. Plan on

difficult travel conditions, including during Holiday travel

Saturday morning. Power outages and downed tree limbs are likely

due to the ice.

* Where... southern Franklin, southern Somerset, Androscoggin and

Kennebec counties.

* When... until 10 PM EST Saturday.

* Additional details... be prepared for snow covered and icy roads,

and reduced visibilities at times.
