occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and
gloves.
Special Statement as of 11:25 PM EST on December 29, 2017
Extreme cold through Saturday morning.
Arctic air remains in place across New England and temperatures
are once again falling well below zero across New Hampshire and
western Maine. Temperatures will vary strongly from one location
to the next, but many areas will see the temperature fall to 10 or
20 below zero. This will combine with light winds to produce wind
chill values of 20 below to occasionally as cold as 30 below
zero. This brutal cold will be capable of causing frost bite or
hypothermia in just a few minutes if precautions are not taken to
protect from the cold. If you must go outside, make sure you wear
a heavy coat and gloves, covering all exposed skin.
