Merry Xmas - it's almost a blizzard out there!

This morning we have snow and a lot of it. High will reach only 19°F. Winds NNW at 15 to 25 mph so far. 6 to 12 inches of snow is expected with some power outages. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph. I hope you have gas for the generators.

 

Tonight we’ll have partly cloudy skies with a snowy low near 15°F. Winds W dropping to 10 to 20 mph.

The readings from my weather instruments are:

Humidity is 70%, the Dew Point is 4.6ºF and the outdoor temp is 12.6ºF.

The wind direction is  Northeast between 10.7 MPH and 13.2 MPH, with a wind chill of -0.2°F.

The Relative pressure is 29.41, the Absolute pressure is 29.20 and falling with a weather graphic indicating snow.

The UV rating is 0 out of 16, Sunrise is 7:13 a.m. Sunset is 4:05 p.m., Moonrise is 11:30 a.m., Moonset is 11:22 p.m. and the moon phase is Waxing Crescent being 40% illuminated.

We received 1.5 inches of horizontal snow here so far and it is FAR from over with. Hunker down folks it’s going to be a nasty day.
